Content license

What your church may do with the loops, stills and countdowns it downloads from BeforePreach, and with what it makes in the Studio. It is part of the terms of service.

Version 1.0, 14 October 2026.

1 What you may do

Your church may use the motion loops, still backgrounds and countdowns it downloads, and, when the Studio is available, the files it renders there, in:

  • its services, on any screen;
  • its livestreams;
  • recordings of its services;
  • its social media.

Files you have downloaded stay yours to use after the subscription ends. Cancelling, or moving to the Free plan, does not take back the right to use what you already downloaded. The two exceptions are in clause 6.

2 What you may not do

You may not:

  • resell the files, on their own or bundled with anything else;
  • redistribute them, or share the raw files as a collection, with other churches or anyone else;
  • put them in a library, stock service or product that competes with BeforePreach.

Showing a file on a screen, in a stream, in a recording or in a post is use, not redistribution. Handing out the files themselves is redistribution.

The licence is for your church. It is not exclusive, since other churches use the same library, and it cannot be transferred to another church. The files themselves remain the property of the operator or of the artists who made them.

3 What you make in the Studio

When the Studio is available, the text, logo and design your church puts into a creation stay yours. The motion, layouts and templates the Studio renders them into stay the operator's, and you may use the rendered file as clause 1 says.

4 Photographs from Unsplash

When the Studio offers Unsplash photo search, a photograph you place in a creation stays under the Unsplash licence, not this one. It allows free use, including commercial use, but not selling the photograph itself or putting it in a competing photo service. The Studio shows the photographer's name with the photo. Keep that credit where you publish the photo whenever you can; photographers are owed it.

5 Bible text and song lyrics

Bible text on a verse slide stays under the licence of its translation, whether it is a public-domain text that comes with BeforePreach or, when that is available, licensed text supplied through API.Bible. The reference and the translation's initials, for example John 3:16 (KJV), stay on the slide, together with any copyright line the translation requires. Do not remove them.

BeforePreach has no song lyrics feature and gives no rights in any song. Lyrics you show need your own licence.

6 When the licence ends

The licence for files you have downloaded ends only if:

  • the payment they were downloaded under is refunded (see the refund policy), or
  • the account is closed for a deliberate breach of the terms of service.

Then stop using those files and delete them. A refund does not touch files from the free trial or the Free plan.
