Terms of service
The agreement between you and the operator of BeforePreach. It covers what the service does, the account it shares with AfterPreach, what you pay, what you may do with the files, and what happens when something goes wrong.
Version 1.0, 14 October 2026.
1 Who you are contracting with
BeforePreach is operated by ND Strupler, sole trader, acting as an individual, of Cambodia. The same operator runs AfterPreach. Full details are in the legal notice.
These terms apply from the moment you create an account or first use BeforePreach with an existing AfterPreach account. By doing so you confirm that you are at least 18, that you are authorised to act for the church or organisation you name, and that you accept these terms, the content license, the refund policy and the privacy policy.
2 What the service does
BeforePreach gives churches visuals for the screens in their services. Its library holds seamless motion loops, still backgrounds and countdowns that you can browse, preview and download.
When the Studio is available, it will render your church's own series titles, countdowns, verse slides, announcements, lower thirds and a Screen Reel video, in your church design and your language. When the Series Pack generator is available, it will propose titles, verse references, a palette and captions for a sermon series from an outline you paste. These terms will be updated before either opens if it needs anything they do not already say.
The service does not show, post or send anything on your behalf. You download the files and use them yourself, in whatever presentation software you run.
How many files you can download a month, how many creations you can make a week, which screen sizes and resolutions you get and how many people can use it are set by your plan and shown on the pricing page. Those limits are enforced by the service, not merely advertised.
3 One account with AfterPreach
BeforePreach and AfterPreach share one account. AfterPreach holds your sign-in, your church, its team, the church design, the service times and the photo library, and both products use them. You sign in through AfterPreach, so signing in or out on one signs you in or out on the other, and a change to the church design, the team or the photo library in one shows in the other.
Each product has its own plan. Using BeforePreach does not need a paid AfterPreach plan, and the reverse. Your use of AfterPreach itself is governed by its own terms.
Your email address is the key to the account, in both products. A forgotten password is reset through a link sent to it, and the church's owner can hand the account to another person by sending a link to their address. Whoever controls the address controls the account, so keep it current, and choose a password you do not use elsewhere. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
The church's owner can invite others to the team. Your plan sets how many of them can use BeforePreach; when the team is larger, the owner picks who. Everyone with access works in the same church account and sees what is made in it.
4 Text written by a machine
Assets are written by a language model. Check them before you use them.
When the Series Pack generator is available, its titles, verse references, palette and captions will be proposed by a language model from Anthropic, working from the outline you paste. Language models make mistakes. They pick the wrong verse, state things with confidence that are not so, and can word a title in a way your preacher would not.
The model proposes verse references only. It never writes the text of a verse. The words on a verse slide come from the translation you choose: a public-domain text that comes with the service or, when that is available, licensed text supplied through API.Bible. Check every reference against your own Bible before it goes on a screen.
You are responsible for what you show your congregation and publish. The operator does not review what the service produces and cannot vouch for it. The service is a design tool. It is not theological, pastoral, legal or professional advice of any kind.
5 What you may do with the files
Your church may use the loops, stills and countdowns it downloads, and its own Studio renders, in its services, livestreams and recordings and on social media. That stays true after the subscription ends, for files already downloaded. You may not resell or redistribute the files, share the raw files as a collection, or put them in a competing library. Photographs from Unsplash and Bible text keep their own licences.
That is a summary. The full terms are in the content license, which is part of this agreement.
The library, the templates, the software and the BeforePreach name remain the operator's or its licensors'. You do not get a licence to copy the service or to resell access to it.
6 What you bring
Your church's name, logo and design, the text you type, the photographs in your library and the outlines you paste stay yours. You confirm that you have the right to use them this way, and that everybody recognisable in a photograph has agreed to appear on your screens. A child needs the permission of whoever is responsible for them.
You give the operator permission to store, process and render that material only to provide the service to your church. The operator claims no ownership of it and does not use it for anything else.
BeforePreach has no song lyrics feature and gives you no rights in any song. If you show lyrics in your services, they need your own licence.
7 What you must not do
You must not use the service to process or produce:
material you have no right to use; personal data about other people beyond what a slide needs, and in particular nothing a person shared with you in pastoral confidence; material that is unlawful, defamatory, or that incites hatred or violence against any person or group; or material involving children in any way that would harm them.
You must not work around plan limits, share one account across churches that should each hold their own, download the library in bulk by automated means, probe the service for weaknesses without written permission, or use automated means to create accounts or generate content at volume.
The operator may suspend or close an account that breaches this clause, and will do so without refund where the breach is deliberate.
8 Plans, the free trial and payment
There are four plans: Free, Starter, Pro and Max. Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance at the prices shown on the pricing page, and renew automatically until you cancel. The church's owner chooses and changes the plan.
The free trial. Every new church gets 14 days of Pro, once, with no card. The owner is reminded by email three days and one day before it ends. When it ends, the church moves to the Free plan unless the owner has chosen a paid plan. Nothing is charged when a trial ends, because no payment details were taken.
Paddle is the merchant of record. Payments are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd., which sells the subscription to you, takes the payment, charges and pays VAT or sales tax where it applies, and issues the invoice. Paddle's buyer terms apply to the purchase. Your card details are entered in Paddle's own checkout and never reach BeforePreach.
Downloads count per calendar month and creations per week from Monday, both in UTC. An unused allowance does not carry over and is not refunded.
Prices may change, but not for a period you have already paid for. You will be told before a change takes effect and may cancel instead.
The operator may give a church a paid plan for a set time as a promotion. When it ends, the church moves to the Free plan unless it has a paid plan of its own.
Cancelling. The owner can cancel at any time from Plan & billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal. The plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, then the church moves to the Free plan.
9 Refunds and the right to withdraw
Within 14 days of your first payment you can have a full refund on request, whether or not you have downloaded anything. Consumers in the EU, the EEA and the UK have a legal right to withdraw from an online purchase within 14 days. The operator gives consumers in Switzerland the same 14 days, although Swiss law does not require it.
The operator will also refund a period in which the service was substantially unavailable, or a charge made in error. The refund policy sets out all of it, including what happens to files you downloaded, and how to ask.
10 Availability, and keeping your files
The service is provided as it is. No uptime is promised, and features may be changed or withdrawn. When the Studio is available, rendering happens on request and can be slow or can fail.
Download anything you want to keep. When the Studio is available, your plan will keep a fixed number of creations, and making one more removes the oldest, with a warning first. Stored files are not a backup service and the operator does not undertake to be able to restore them.
11 Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited, including a consumer's statutory rights.
Subject to that, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit, goodwill or congregation, or for anything arising from material you showed or published without checking it. Total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid in the twelve months before it arose.
12 Ending the agreement
You can cancel a paid plan at any time, as clause 8 says. To leave altogether, write to info@afterpreach.com. You can have BeforePreach's records of your church deleted and keep using AfterPreach, or close the shared account, which ends both products and deletes the account, the church design, the team and the photo library that AfterPreach holds.
Files already downloaded stay licensed under the content license after the agreement ends, unless the account was closed for a deliberate breach or the payment they were downloaded under was refunded.
The operator may end the agreement on reasonable notice, or immediately for a breach of clause 6 or 7, and will refund the unused part of a paid period unless the account was closed for deliberate breach.
13 Changes to these terms
These terms may change. A material change will be notified before it takes effect, and continuing to use the service afterwards accepts it. Every version carries a number and a date at the top of this page.
14 Law and disputes
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Cambodia, with the competent courts of Cambodia. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in your own courts.
Talk to the operator first at info@afterpreach.com. Most things are settled that way.
